The selected stocks contribute significantly to the decarbonization of the economy and are potential beneficiaries of political ambitions such as the European Green Deal or the 'American Jobs Plan' of US President Joe Biden. The basket contains stocks that contribute to the decarbonization of infrastructure and the economy and have a very attractive risk-return profile from a fundamental valuation perspective.
The economic sectors of power generation, building infrastructure, transportation and heavy industry are still clearly among the largest emitters of greenhouse gases (including CO2) and thus among the main drivers of man-made global warming. National governments such as that of the U.S. under President Joe Biden and supranational organizations such as the European Union (EU) are therefore working on plans and strategies to decarbonize infrastructure and the economy (e.g., European Green Deal or Biden's 'American Jobs Plan'). At the heart of these plans is, among other things....
- phasing out fossil fuels through renewable energy and energy storage options (= decarbonizing electricity generation)
- increasing the energy efficiency of buildings (=decarbonizing building infrastructure)

The new basket in detailThe selected stocks will be included in the basket at the initial fixing date with the weights shown. The stock selection as well as the subsequent weighting changes are performed by ZKB Asset Management. The geographical as well as sector diversification allows a diversified participation in the development of these themes.
