In recent years, the Swiss stock exchange has welcomed several newcomers that have turned out to be real success stories. One such company is Amrize, a building materials manufacturer that has been operating independently for eight months. On 23 June 2025, the company made its stock market debut, sealing its separation from its parent company, Holcim. The commitment has paid off for early shareholders: Amrize shares have risen by almost 28% since the IPO (as of 20 February 2026, including dividends), outperforming the overall market (SPI: +16.3%).
The recently published annual results provided further momentum. Although the figures fell slightly short of market expectations according to news agency AWP, investors seemed convinced by the special dividend and optimistic outlook for business development. Following publication, the shares rose by more than 13% and closed above CHF 50.00 mark for the first time.
Generic drug manufacturer Sandoz, spun off from pharmaceutical giant Novartis in October 2023, also looks back on a successful run on the stock market. Since its IPO, its shares have risen by over 180%, hitting an all-time high last week. Over the same period, the SPI gained 35.6%.
Meanwhile, Accelleron has become a stock market favourite. The turbocharger manufacturer was spun off from ABB in October 2022. Its shares initially traded at around CHF 18.00, but now cost over CHF 74.00. This equates to an increase of around 347%, whereas the SPI has risen by 44.8% over the same period.
Investors who believe the three stocks still have potential despite their price gains but want to hedge against corrections may be interested in the barrier reverse convertible on Accelleron, Amrize and Sandoz.
