Optimising Investment Decisions With Artificial Intelligence

Thursday, 20 March 2025 Reading time : 3 minutes

Imagine a tireless assistant that analyses huge amounts of data around the clock, predicts market trends and suggests tailored investment strategies. This is exactly what artificial intelligence (AI) can do for asset management. In a world increasingly dominated by technology and data, AI offers efficient and powerful tools for making informed investment decisions and optimising portfolios.

The Tracker Certificate of Zürcher Kantonalbank exploits this potential to optimise the performance of the underlying Swiss equity portfolio.

Optimise performance, minimise risks
The investment universe of the ZKB Tracker Certificate consists of all equities included in the Swiss Performance Index (SPI) and rated "Outperform" or "Market Perform" by the research department of Zürcher Kantonalbank. On the basis of this list, Aisot Technologies determines the optimal allocation to each stock on a monthly basis. Aisot uses a proprietary AI model that calculates the return potential of each stock and identifies portfolio and stock-specific risk factors.

To make its forecasts, the AI analyses a wide range of data sources, including company figures, market sentiment, macro indicators and news from a variety of sources. The aim is to optimise portfolio performance and minimise potential risk. Depending on the market situation, the AI may use cash to create an optimal portfolio, with the cash component not exceeding 50% of the basket value. It must also take into account other constraints such as rebalancing volume, tradability and maximum individual security weightings.
