Extended Trading Hours Provide More Flexibility

Thursday, 4 December 2025 Reading time : 3 minutes

As of this week, the Swiss stock exchange SIX Swiss Exchange is offering extended trading hours for structured products and leverage products. For each product, issuers can decide whether to offer the current trading window of 9:15 am to 5:15 pm CET or the extended window of 8:00 am to 9:45 pm CET.

Zürcher Kantonalbank has decided to initially offer the extended trading hours for products for which a consistently high price quality can be guaranteed. Consequently, investors can now trade our full range of leverage products on US underlyings between 8:00 am and 9:45 pm CET. The offering will be expanded to include leverage products on precious metals, FX and indices by the end of this week.

The extended trading window enables investors to react more flexibly to developments outside regular Swiss trading hours, thus providing more scope for investment decisions in the fast-paced international financial markets. As such, investors can respond more quickly to events on US stock exchanges, which close at 10:00 pm CET.
